Joe Calvert

As a print designer, I often take inspiration from fine art and I am genuinely excited to be involved in this project. It allows me to meet the artists first hand, discuss their work and their methods, as well as photograph their studios.

The idea of Revolving Gallery came from my experiences in London visiting private views with friends. These were a great way to view an artist and appreciate their work, but often didn’t suit everyone’s taste. I therefore pursued the idea of showcasing a range of artists in a ‘preview night’ format – a real event that would have broader appeal to any art lover.

I have an appreciation for many forms of fine art, from photography and print-making, through to sculpture. I particularly appreciate art inspired by nature, especially contemporary takes on landscapes.
